Marcy has a new owner!

Marcy - Has a new owner!

We enjoyed excellent adventures aboard Marcy and now it's time for someone else to take the helm.

Prepared to anchor

Here's the boat info:

Marcy is a beautiful, offshore capable, sloop. The fin keel design makes for a fast and maneuverable blue water boat. She has seen us safely through storms and big seas while making steady comfortable progress in light winds during our four year circumnavigation as well as countless weekend sails in Puget Sound.

Marcy has been around the world via Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope. She is very much at home on a light afternoon’s sail around the Sound, crossing the Straits in questionable weather, or on her way to anywhere you would like.

Construction: Sturdy fiberglass construction with foam core provides comfort in cool or warm weather. Her shape and accommodations provide substantial storage.

Interior: Marcy is a center cockpit boat with the saloon in the stern providing privacy between socializing and sleeping accommodations. The galley is in the passageway to port, to starboard are a storage cabin aft and a wide single bunk cabin amidships. Forward of that on starboard there is a double stateroom with ample locker space. To port there is a mid-ships bunk and nav station, convenient for watch-keeping at sea. Forward are the head and v-berth.

Refit: New rig including standing rigging in 2003. New electronics and autopilot (2005) Topsides painted in 2009, deck painted 2013. All new cushions 2009. Originally launched in 1984.
