Papeete, Tahiti

We've been safely anchored for several days next to Marina Tiana. The city is busy, loud, dirty and has everything we need right now! We got propane and fresh veggies on Friday. Saturday we pulled the muffler out of the boat and delivered it to a welder to put on a new bottom. The grocery store is huge and there are hundreds of people swarming it on weekend afternoons so today (Monday) we'll go back for some supplies. As soon as the muffler is re-installed we'll be able to run the motor to charge the batteries. This morning it's very cloudy so there's no power from the sun trickling in but one of our neighbors kindly loaned us their Honda generator. Our next adventure will be to see if we can find one of these wonderful generators somewhere in the S. Pacific! Photos to be uploaded shortly.
